Breast augmentation

There are two options for breast augmentation: a breast augmentation with implants or with fat transfer. In the case of an enlargement with implants, a distinction is made between teardrop-shaped and round implants. The implants are inserted through the armpit, the breast fold, or the areola. Depending on the initial situation and desired results, an individual concept is developed for each patient.

Breast augmentation surgery usually takes place under general anesthesia followed by monitoring at the clinic.
As with any procedure, breast augmentation surgery is associated with risks, such as infections, post-operative bleeding, or wound healing disorders, among other things. In addition, there are also specific risks of breast augmentation such as capsular contracture, in which the body forms a solid capsule around the implant, which, depending on the grade of severeness, can lead to implant deformation or/and severe pain.
Which implants and surgical techniques are suitable for the planned breast augmentation given the patient’s own initial situation and personal wishes, and which complications and risks one should expect, will be discussed in a personal consultation with the plastic surgeon or the operating specialist.

It is important to note that in case of complications and/or follow-up treatments of a breast augmentation with implants or via fat transfer injections performed for aesthetic reasons, the health insurance companies will no longer cover the full costs of the medically necessary treatments. The associated financial risk for the patient can be absorbed by taking out our safe4beauty cosmetic surgery insurance.
